Kerala’s Slum Population

64,556 people in Kerala were living in slums at the time of the 2001 Census. Alapuzha Municipality area had 14,856 slum dwellers, Trivandrum Corporation had 11,817 and Kozhikode Corporation 10,390. The lowest number of 169 was in Thrissur Corporation area. Kollam Corporation had 483 and Thalassery Municipality had 675.
