Sex and the CPM

A few samples of the Left Parties’ double standards on sex and sexuality, not to mention sex rackets:

P Sasi – Kannur District Secretary and senior Party comrade, accused of sexual harassment of a junior comrade’s wife. Investigation by party leaders revealed similar complaints by women party members. Any case filed? No need to ask. And what did the CPM say? Gone on leave for treatment. What did their poll allies say? Nothing, of course!

Kiliroor case – Who is the VIP whom VS refused to name? Five years after the CM made grandiose claims that he would bring the culprits to book and parade them in handcuffs, the case remains just where it started. A young girl, sexually abused by many unidentified commoners and VIPs, bears a girl child, and dies under mysterious circumstances. End of story.

VAAKinte Macau Yatrayum VSinte VAAKugalum – VA Arun Kumar, the humble son of a humble Marxist, goes on a ‘private’ visit to Macau, the gambling paradise of the Far East. Whether this poor government employee obtained official sanction for the trip we don’t know. Who accompanied him we don’t know. When he appeared on television to defend himself, he didn’t say he had taken his wife along, so we presume he didn’t. That would have been a fairly good alibi, by traditional standards. But, going alone is less expensive and more fun. How long he stayed there and what he did there he refused to divulge. So we have to rely on our imagination. What does Macau have that Kerala does not have? Well, I hear there are casinos and massage parlours. “Kerala also offers ayurvedic massage,” do you say? Come on man, it’s not the same thing! And even an old prude like VS says, “Enthinu vilakkanu?” He has one set of moral standards for his own son and a dramatically opposite moral code for the rest of the world.

All these years, VS pretended to be a saint! Well, he’s old enough to be one…Just wait till I’m 89, insha Allah, and I’ll remember to condemn every one around me who is sexually active!
